Start your day with a scenic drive from Trincomalee to Polonnaruwa, an ancient city steeped in history. Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Polonnaruwa, where centuries-old ruins tell the tales of a bygone era. Marvel at the intricately carved statues and ancient architecture of the Gal Vihara, a sacred Buddhist site.

After breakfast, proceed to Sigiriya Rock Fortress and climb the monolith, one of the most extraordinary artistic complexes of its time (477 – 498 AD). Declared a UNESCO heritage site in 1982, this magnificent citadel allures artistic and architectural curiosity from around the globe. Return to the hotel late this morning with time to relax, swim in the pool and enjoy some lunch

After breakfast, travel to the Cave Temple of Dambulla, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has many Buddhist features, statues, and frescoes. About 80 temples make up the complex, which also has 153 Buddha statues and a ton of beautiful frescoes and rock paintings. The fantastic views and the temples, which are worth every effort, make the brief ascent worthwhile despite the fact that it can be strenuous.

Start your day with a visit through the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens (Op;onal) , a lush haven of rare plant species and Depart for Nuwara Eliya in the aBernoon, known as “LiFle England” for its colonial charm and cool climate.
